This photograph was one of the first photographs I took and was taken on location. This photograph shows the use of the technique close up and this technique has been used because it allows the detail of the center of the flower and the detail in the petals to be seen very clear and expressed the beauty of nature. This photograph is an example of fine art showing prettification in nature. This is because the soft but bright colors allow the flower to blossom with beauty and to be seen as something to admire. This close up photograph has been taken from a birds eye view as the angle is looking down over the flower. This is shown very well as the flower fills the whole of the space in the photograph leaving no excess wasted space and allows the audience to be instantly attracted to the main focus the flower. This photograph has also been taken to allow the audiences eyes to be drawn straight to the center of the flower giving the audience a direction to look at.
This photograph was taken by the photographer Keith Taylor and is a close up photograph of a flower. This photograph also shows the technique depth of field as the background that is further in the distance is blurred. The reason this has been done is to allow the extreme close up of the center of the flower to stand out and be the main focus. This photograph has also exaggerated the colors to make them look very bright and vibrant especially the center of the flower. This is evidence that this photograph is fine art photography and also shows from the colors the beauty of this flower. This photograph has been taken from a very different intriguing angle which makes this photograph look very striking and sharp to look at. The flower covers the whole of the photographs space which allows the audience to immediately see this photograph and make sure it stands out to them. Furthermore the extreme close up technique also brings out the texture of the flower even more. This is because as a viewer I can see the smooth texture of the petals and how delicate they are in real life. This shows that this photograph was taken so well that the photograph looks realistic even though its a copy of the real flower. Both these photographs connect because they both are close up photographs of flowers that emphasize bright and vibrant colors within them. Both of these photographs also allow the formal element of texture to stand out and make both of the photographs realistic when looking at them. Furthermore both of these photographs come under the category of fine art photography and the colors and main focus which are flowers are evidence for this. Lastly both photographs show the beauty of nature and how flowers are very pretty and striking plants that contain delicate and fragile parts to them this is shown because of the similar angles and how both photographs cover the whole photograph to avoid any wasted space.
