Connecting Essay 5

This photograph was taken in my first personal project and was taken on location. The two techniques used in this photograph are close up and multiple imagery. This photograph comes under the category of fine art photography as the bright and vibrant pinks and purples in the flower illuminates in every photograph. The idea of presenting these photographs in a multiple imagery grid allows the different angles to be shown. The different angles allow this photograph to look very interesting and creative to look at.
This is because the flowers create different shapes which make this photograph very appealing and because of some of the individual photographs being close up and some being extreme close up shows a difference in each photograph even though they are the same flower. Furthermore this multiple imagery photograph also conveys the life cycle of a flower this is because this multiple imagery photograph shows the flower at its best as the petals and colors look so healthy and bright as the natural lighting of the outside contribute to this. Also the natural lighting also allow the texture of the flower to be seen much clearer. This is because the fragile and smooth petals with the clear water droplets on them make these photographs look very pretty and show how beautiful nature really is.

This photograph was taken by the photographer 'Pelle Cass' and is a a variety of photographs of nature. This photograph shows a multiple amount of photographs however presented in a very random order to grab its audience's attention at how busy the photograph is. Each photograph is folded over showing a triangle shape this shows the different photographs overlaying each other to produce a fascinating photograph. The individual photographs are photographs of nature and are all close up photographs showing a journey. The rich and vibrant shades of greens stand out and create a puzzle as you don't know where each photograph belongs. This photograph also allows the textures and tones to stand out because of the close up technique of the photographs. The rough texture of the bark on the tree's and the smooth texture of the pebbles and the paths are highlighted. Furthermore the different angles used in this photograph makes these nature close up photographs look more intriguing and emphasizes the random pattern of photographs. Overall I have gained a lot of influences from this photographer and this photograph and this has helped my personal project increase in success.

Both these photographs connect because they both have the main topic of nature and flowers in them this is because both these photographs are reflecting the beauty of nature and representing the category of fine art photography. Also both of these photographs are presented showing multiple imagery however in a different structure as my own photograph is in a organised grid where as Pelle Cass's photograph is very random.
