Personal shoot 3- work diary

This photograph was taken for my project close ups and was my third shoot for this project. This shoot was taking close ups and extreme close ups of Tango cherry cans. The idea behind this was so that the close ups allow the shiny and glossy texture to stand out as well as the vibrant red and black colours to make this photograph very bold to look at. I feel that this photograph meets them requirements and also is shown to be very complex using the formal element of depth to make this photograph of four cans more intriguing to view. Furthermore the angle that this photograph was taken allows the lighting to bounce of the cans and create them to look very surreal and false. This made the editing stage very enjoyable as the more I adjusted the curves, levels and saturation the more the photograph became even more eye catching and sharp to look at. I am very happy with this photograph and feel that it is one of my best framed photographs so far.

This photograph was also taken for my personal project close ups and is a photograph of Tango cherry cans. The idea behind the organisation of this photograph is that by positioning them one behind each other but diagonally allows each one to be seen and the logo to slowly be less seen. This allows the closest can's logo to be extremely bold and the main focus as the others fade behind it getting smaller and smaller. This photograph also shows the formal element of depth of field and is shown in a complex and creative way. I  especially like how bright and vibrant the colors are I done this by adjusting the curves and levels and then adjusting the saturation to allow the colors of pink and blue to be applied to the photograph to make this photograph stand out and more and give it a variety of colors instead of just red and black. Furthermore I am very happy with the way this photograph has turned out and how well the framing and composition has been taken to make this photograph very clear what technique is being used.

If I would go back and add to this shoot I would take more birds eye view photographs as the formal element of depth was used a lot. I would also get a more better range of cans to mix the style and colors up to add to my creativity in the editing stage.

As a result of this shoot I have realized that I really enjoy capturing photographs in the studio this is because of the lighting and facilities of the lighting boom has allowed myself to be very creative and capture photographs at a very professional look. However prior to this shoot I have also captured another man made object shoot as this was a development from it. Therefore to make sure my work is very versatile I have decided for a future shoot I should capture a humans or animals feature to show more skills in my photographs.
