This photograph is showing the technique close up which matches my project brief. The photograph is of the human eye and has been taken from a low angle to emphasise the models eye looking upwards. The close up technique allows the shiny texture of the pupil to be shown much clearer and easier as the models eye has been edited to shine. The colours in her pupil are very natural and the pearl blue is enhanced as the close up technique allows the colour to stand out more. Lastly the framing of this photograph is very tight which allows the main focus of the eye to not have any distractions.

This photograph is showing the technique close up which again matches my project brief. The photograph is of a baby pug and the framing of  this photograph is very accurate and tight to make sure the baby pugs face is the only thing shown in the photograph. The use of the technique close up allows the soft texture of the pug to be seen with huge detail as the fur on his face is seen much better than if it was a wide angle photograph. I really like how the pugs eyes have been enhanced by the close up technique as the watery texture is shown with more detail to make this baby pug look very vulnerable and cute.

This photograph shows the technique close up and is of a collection of colouring pencils. I really like the angle that this photograph has been taken as it has been taken from the left hand corner to allow the depth of the colouring pencils to be shown. The close up technique allows the colours to be seen very brightly and vibrant. The close up technique also allows the rough texture to be seen much better as the detail of this photograph is very high quality.
This photograph also shows the technique close up which again matches my project brief. This photograph is a flower and mainly focuses on the petals on this flower. The close up technique allows the bright and vibrant colours to stand out which makes this photograph very eye catching. The close up technique also enhances the soft and delicate texture as well which makes the flower look stunning. Furthermore I really like the timing of this photograph as it looks as if the petals are swaying in the wind however the photograph is still therefore the photograph is very complex and high quality in my eyes.

My own definition

Close up- It is where the main subject is short distanced to the lens and this allows the colours and texture to be enhanced as the human eye can see the detail much nearer.
